What you can do:
- Help us to highlight this issue by joining our peaceful protest event on Sunday 19 September. Meet at Sizewell beach, from which we will depart at 10am, walking up the coast to the Sizewell C site, returning by 12 noon. For full details, see stopsizewellc.org/sos. Please also tell your friends and family – we want LOTS of people there.
There are three main ways we can Stop Sizewell C
- Money. If no one will invest, it cannot go ahead. You can help by signing a petition against EDF’s proposed new funding model – which would add a “nuclear tax” to our energy bills during at least ten years of construction, and by writing to pension funds or other potential investors.
- Politics. If Sizewell C is unpopular, or adds too much to our energy bills, Ministers will listen. Sign our Petition with Together Against Sizewell C at www.stopsizewellcpetition.com or write to The Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP: email@example.com, Dear Secretary of State.
- Planning. If enough holes are found in EDF’s plans and the impacts outweigh the benefits, it could be refused consent. Please write to the Planning Inspectorate to express your opposition to the project. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
