Sizewell C Outrage Rally

Outraged about the destruction caused by Sizewell C? 

Then join our rally to protest against Sizewell C, incorporating a memorial tribute to legendary campaigner Pete Wilkinson. Rally co-organised by Together Against Sizewell C (TASC) and Stop Sizewell C.

Where: Sizewell Beach (just south of main access) 

When: Saturday 7 June 11am – 12.15/30pm

Join our rally to express your outrage about Sizewell C. Pete Wilkinson, long-time Chair of TASC was outraged and deeply concerned at the environmental destruction Sizewell C is causing to the area. We will pay tribute to him at this event.

Key Details:

  • Assemble from 10.30am on Sizewell beach, just south of the main access.
  • The rally will take place from 11am to 12.15/30 with a mix of speakers and music.
  • After the rally concludes, participants who are able are encouraged to walk up the beach to the fences around the Sizewell C site before dispersing. This will take roughly 30 minutes return, on easy, flat terrain.

Participation:

  • Please help us spread the word and bring your friends and family. You do not need to have known Pete to take part.
  • We are liaising with the police to ensure a smooth running safe event, suitable for everyone to take part in.
  • We will provide banners, flags and placards but please bring your own too!

Travel & Logistics

  • We urge everyone to use the FREE carpark at Sizewell Beach. Postcode IP16 4UH. Space is limited so please carshare or cycle if possible.
  • We are planning to provide a FREE coach between Saxmundham station and Sizewell beach for those using the train. To take the coach you must book so we can accommodate everyone who needs it: email info@stopsizewellc.org 
    • We would plan for the coach to depart Saxmundham station at 10am, meeting the trains arriving at 09.52 from Ipswich and 09.55 from Lowestoft) 
    • We would plan for the coach to leave Sizewell beach approx 13.20 to catch the 13.53 from Saxmundham to Lowestoft and 13.55 to Ipswich (and on to London).
